Synopsis: This video profiles a friend of mine, the artist/musician Christian Marclay. One of the things he does is live improvisation using turntables & vinyl, which is the main focus of this piece. The performance scenes were shot at the now-defunct Freezer (on W. 14th st. back in the late 90's when hookers were openly plying their trade), where he often had memorable improvisational duet performances with Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth).

Production Notes: The interview scenes were shot at Christian's studio. My lavalier mic wouldn't work when I set up to interview him; that's why it's a bit difficult to understand what he's saying.
